2. Scope of Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern the supply, installation, and maintenance of CCTV & Alarm systems. Acceptance of a quotation, proposal, or order confirms acceptance of these terms.

3. Contractor Obligations

The Contractor will:
3.1 Supply and install the System as detailed in the agreed quotation.
3.2 Ensure all equipment is new and free from defects unless otherwise stated.
3.3 Perform installations to professional standards in compliance with laws and industry best practices.
3.4 Provide basic operation training for the System upon completion.
3.5 Honour warranty obligations:

  • 12-month warranty on workmanship from installation date.

3.6 Notify the Customer of any delays in delivery or installation.
3.7 Maintain the confidentiality of any Customer data or site information acquired during installation.
3.8 Provide aftercare support or maintenance if included in the agreement or separately contracted.

4. Customer Obligations

The Customer agrees to:
4.1 Provide full access to all areas where installation is required, including necessary permissions from property owners or landlords. Additional charges apply if work must be removed, altered, or relocated due to lack of permission.
4.2 Ensure the premises have suitable electrical and internet/network access if required.
4.3 Review and approve installation plans before work commences.
4.4 Make payments as agreed:

  • A deposit (typically 50%) prior to installation.
  • Balance payable upon completion.
Payment methods: debit/credit card, bank transfer, or cash. Cheques are not accepted. Failure to pay may result in system removal and additional charges.

4.5 Comply with all relevant data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
4.6 Not tamper with, relocate, or repair the System without written consent from the Contractor.
4.7 Report faults or issues promptly to allow for warranty claims or repairs.
4.8 Accept liability for third-party damage or interference after installation.

5. Cancellation & Termination

5.1 Cancellation by the Customer before installation may incur fees covering equipment, planning, and administration.
5.2 The Contractor may terminate the agreement if the Customer breaches any material terms, including failure to provide access or payment.
5.3 Upon termination, the Contractor may recover equipment not fully paid for unless otherwise agreed.

6. Costs and Quotes

6.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
6.2 Costs may be revised if:

  • Customer changes the specification.
  • Premises are unsuitable for installation, and this was not apparent.
  • Additional unforeseen circumstances arise requiring extra labour, equipment, or reconfiguration.

6.3 Extra charges may apply if access is restricted or additional work is required (e.g., high ceilings, building work, cable routing issues).

7. Ownership and Risk

7.1 Ownership of equipment remains with the Contractor until full payment is received.
7.2 Risk passes to the Customer upon delivery and installation.

8. Warranty / Guarantee

8.3 Customer must report faults immediately; the Contractor will repair or replace faulty hardware free of charge within the warranty period.
8.4 Warranty excludes:

  • Tampering, misuse, or alterations by the Customer or third parties.
  • Consumable items (e.g., internal hard drives).
  • Products added by the Customer not supplied by the Contractor.
  • Faults caused by authorities, ISPs, or other service providers.
8.5 A call-out fee applies if faults are caused by the Customer or third-party interference.

9. Remote Viewing & IT

9.1 The Contractor is not liable for IT issues preventing remote viewing (e.g., ISP issues, router changes, new devices). Additional charges may apply for reconfiguration.

10. Limitation of Liability
